The ladies from Girlsgarage.com surveyed race fans, media members and Delaware dignitaries to see what their favorite moments have been in the last 40 years of racing at Dover International Speedway.
Here's what we found........
Mike Bagley MRN Radio: The 1983 Mason-Dixon 500 because of the side by side finish with Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison. Bobby Allison won the race.
Lynette of Vermont: Biggest Dover moment for me was meeting Richard Petty in June of 2006.
Rodney Barker: I have two Monster moments: While working as security I met Sam Ard and then I worked for his race team that day.
The other moment was being asked to bring a briefcase to someone..... and that someone turned out to be Junior Johnson.
Corpl. Lawrence Simpkiss: My favorite Dover moment was Dale Earnhardt Jr. Sept 2001 win and all of the flags in the stand that day
Dana, Dover Downs employee: When they had the swearing in of our service men at Dover.
Gerry, of Monster Racing: My favorite Dover moment was when Dale Jr. won after September 11th. All the fans had flags. Everyone had tears in their eyes.

Bobby Allison tells MRN's Barney Hall about his love affair with Dover International Speedway. Allison befriended one of the founding fathers of Dover International Speedway, Melvin Joseph. Allison recalled moments of intense racing on the Monster Mile, many of his battles were against Richard Petty.
